On Friday November 28, 2009 a gathering of WPHS Class of 1978 graduates was held at "The Stadium", a sports themed Restaurant, on Route 9 in Garrison, NY. About 50 to 75 classmates and friends, spouses, family members, et. al. showed up, and it turned into quite an event.
The Stadium is a huge sports bar/museum (Paul Horning's 1956 Heisman Trophy, Mickey Mantle's 1956 Triple Crown, Babe Ruth's 1934 Yankees Contract, and Weeb Ewbank's 1969 Super Bowl Trophy, among other items of interest, are all on display). The Stadium sits on the site of the Olde Hofbrau House (a well-known and popular German-style restaraunt in the heydays of Peekskill).
Concurrently with our gathering, the WPHS Class of 1988 had a group together there for their own 20th reunion. This Friday night shindig ended up being a blast, and the perfect Pre-Party for the reunion itself, held the very next night...
